2. Source of the technical information

Technical and resource figures published here are summarised from technical work prepared for Mwalimu Resources, including geological modelling and reporting by CEM Mining and other independent consultants.

The summaries on this website are abridged. They omit the assumptions, parameters, quality assurance procedures, cut-off grades and qualifications set out in the underlying reports. A summary cannot be relied on in place of the full report and its supporting data.

3. Reporting framework and classification

Mineral resource and reserve terminology used on this website follows the South African Code for the Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves, known as the SAMREC Code.

Under that framework a Mineral Resource is a concentration of material of economic interest with reasonable prospects for eventual economic extraction. It is classified as Measured, Indicated or Inferred in decreasing order of geological confidence. A Mineral Reserve is the economically mineable part of a Measured or Indicated Resource, after applying modifying factors.

A Mineral Resource is not a Mineral Reserve. An Inferred Mineral Resource has the lowest level of geological confidence and may not be converted to a Mineral Reserve. Unclassified exploration material has no resource classification at all and represents exploration potential only.

4. The group inventory figure explained

Where this website refers to an approximate total in-situ group inventory of 183 Mt, that figure is an arithmetic total of material across separate assets held at very different levels of confidence. It is a resource inventory, not a reserve, and the great majority of it is not classified.

5. Exploration results and potential

Statements about exploration upside describe potential. They are not, and must not be read as, an estimate of a Mineral Resource or Mineral Reserve.

There is no certainty that further exploration will define a Mineral Resource on any property, that any resource will be upgraded to a higher confidence category, or that any part of it will prove economically extractable.
